Welcome to Mixed Signal Studio

At Mixed Signal Studio our mission is to get you started with real circuits that are the basis of most modern-day integrated products. We offer an array of all discrete electronics modules designed to teach a variety mixed signal design concepts. Core functions are implemented only using single transistors, OP-amps and comparators. Each module is crafted to ensure you get hands-on experience and understanding and is designed to plug into any standard FPGA PMOD connector.


Pictured left is the SigmaXplore 3 module Delta Sigma DAC and 3rd order ADC. It is implemented using eight discrete Op-amps and one comparator.

Our Products give you real world experience

With the mating of real analog sections to programable digital hardware you will really hone your skills and understand the mixed signal world. And finally, all results are streamed to your PC where you can use our python analysis programs and write your own python scripts to do any analysis of the raw data you choose.

Exploring the interface between analog and digital

Each of our products gives you the opportunity to explore the analog and digital sections. Probing nodes and currents, changing setting, and plotting results gives you the in depth understanding to get up to speed on your journey to becoming skilled in mixed signal engineering. While our FPGA boards are optimized to work with our PMOD modules, our PMOD modules will work with any standard FPGA PMOD board with slightly degraded performance.
